Okay this is my Great Grandma’s secret recipe. It’s been in my family for a very long time. I think everyone deserves to taste this at least once in there life. It’s her famous Sweet Apple pie.

Ingredients

• Pie crust: Any will do store bought or homemade.
• 2 cups. Fresh sliced green apples(make sure they are the sour ones)
• 2 cups. Sugar
• 5 tbs. Vanilla
• 1 cup. Brown sugar
• 3 tbs. Cinnamon
• 5 tbs. Butter
• 1 pinch. Salt
• 4 tbs. lemon juice
• 2tbs. Powder sugar

Method

These are the ingredients to her famous Sweet Apple Pie. Now don’t worry I will tell you how to make it. That is the most IMPORTANT part of this article. First you have take the first cup of APPLE SLICES not chunks and dip them in 2 cups of water mixed with 2 cups of sugar. Let that sit for at least a whole night. After you have done that then use that water that you dipped the apples in and mix it with everything the 5 tbs. Vanilla, 1 cup. Brown sugar ,3tbs. Cinnamon, 5tbs. Butter, 1 pinch. Salt, 4tbs. Lemon juice, EXCEPT FOR THE POWDER SUGAR.

Slowly put the dipped apple slices around the inside of the pie. Until the inside center is covered in apples Put a non sugared ones right by the sweet ones like a 1 2 1 2 pattern. A sweet slice and then sour slice sweet slice sour slice etc. That way it mixes the taste. Then pour the sauce over the apples. If there are extra slices than you can eat them or put them on top of the filling mix. Put the crust on top and bake in the oven for 1HR. if the crust is raw and about 25- 35 min if the crust was bought at the store.
