Pumpkin pie is the perfect dessert to serve for Thanksgiving or for any holiday! Making a pumpkin pie from scratch is great, but you can make a delicious pie using ready-make ingredients, as well. This pumpkin pie recipe is quick and easy and comes out great. A dash of maple syrup adds some extra sweetness. It’s always a crowd pleaser!

INGREDIENTS

2 cups canned pumpkin

2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted

2 eggs

1 can evaporated milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 Tbsp maple syrup

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1/2 tsp allspice

Salt to taste

1 ready made graham cracker or regular pie crust (I prefer the graham cracker)

Cool Whip

METHOD

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Mix pumpkin with butter.

3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the rest of the ingredients. Add the pumpkin and stir until well-blended.

4. Pour the mixture into the pie shell and smooth the top with a knife. Heat for about 45 minutes until the a knife stuck into the filling comes out clean.

5. Let cool and serve with Cool Whip. NOTE: Don’t let it cool in the fridge or the crust will end up cracking.
