Maple Syrup Pie

A warning: If you don’t have that big of a sweet tooth, don’t cut a big piece … smile!

Serves 8

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie shell (bake according to pkg. directions)
  • 1 cup (abt. 2-3 scoops) vanilla ice cream (preferably Breyer’s)
  • 1 cup dark amber maple syrup
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • top with fresh or frozen fruit

Method

  1. Lightly soften ice cream. Add the maple syrup, followed by brown sugar.
  2. Whip with hand mixer at medium speed until thoroughly combined.
  3. Pour evenly onto baked pie shell, and decorate top with fruit.
  4. Let set in refrigerator for at least an hour.
