No Bake Strawberry Pie

published by DA Cournean on Apr 12, 2009

Enjoy a taste of spring.

The strawberries are in the stores.  Here is another dessert idea for Easter.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 heaping teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 small package strawberry jello
  • 1 baked pie shell

Method

Mix together sugar and corn starch.  Stir in 1 cup cold water.  Bring to boil over medium heat and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.  Remove from heat; add the package of jello.  Cool 10 minutes.  Stir in berries and pour into prepared pie shell.  Chill for 2 hours.  Serve with whipped cream  on top.

My strawberry plants have flowers all over them and should have actual strawberries soon. This would be a great use for them. Sounds good.
