Patriotic Cherry Pie

Recipe for festive alteration to cherry pie.
Ingredients
- Cherry Pie is my absolute favorite dessert and here is a July 4th savvy alteration.
- You will need 1 large can of cherry filling
- 2 frozen pie shells,
- sugar
- blue food coloring.
Method
Cut slits in pie shell to prepare. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Fill shell with cherry filling. Now use a star shaped cookie cutter to cut shapes into other shell. Now squeeze a few drops of food coloring onto half of the star cutouts. Place cutouts on to cherry filling and sprinkle with sugar. Bake until stars and shell are golden brown.
