Pecan Pumpkin Pie

Can’t decide if it should be Pecan or Pumpkin Pie? Why not do both? Yes, all in one pie. It is a delicious combination that will leave everyone wanting more.

PUMPKIN LAYER

1 egg, beaten

1 cup of canned pumpkin

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ginger

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Mix together and pour into an unbaked 9 inch pie shell.

PECAN LAYER

2 eggs, beaten

2/3 cup maple syrup

2/3 cup sugar

2 Tablespoons butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup pecans

Mix together and gently spoon over pumpkin layer.  Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
