Pineapple Melon Orange Pie

Pies can add that exotic touch to a meal that much thought had not gone into.

 
A pie can put the crowning glory to a not so well thought of or planned meal. They are easy to prepare. Many individuals worry about making the perfect pie crust. Here is a quick and easy surprise  Jamaica fruit pie with an absolute stress free to make crust.

Ingredients

1/2 loaf white bread (Jamaica hard dough is the best)
1 tsp butter
3 egg whites
¼ cup g. sugar
8 slices pineapple
2 cups diced watermelon
2 oranges
1 cup flour
1 ½ brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
½ nutmeg
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp ginger (optional)
1 tsp lime juice

Method

• Grease pie dish, slice bread into1/4 inches thick and line at 10 inches pie dish with buttered bread side turn up.
• Combine diced pineapple, diced watermelon and segments of one orange.
• Juice the other orange and add.
• Add sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon to flour and mix properly.
• To fruit mix, add lime juice, vanilla and pour sugar and flour mixture into fruit mixture.
•  Put onto fire in a saucepan to simmer and thicken.
• Pour into pie crust
• Put egg white into a blender mix until peaks form, adds sugar and whip until sugar dissolves.
• Cover pie  with egg white and bake at 350 degree F. For 20 minutes.
• Chill and serve.

    That looks like a delicoius pie. It is different from any I have seen. I will have to make one.I love my pies.

    My mouth is already watering, sounds delicious! Headed straight to the kitchen to try it out!
