Pita Od Jabuka (Apple Pie)
How to make an unusual apple pie dish…
Ingredients:
- 500g phyllo dough
- 2 kg apples (sour)
- 3 coffee spoons of cinnamon
- Half a cup bread crumble
- 400g sugar
- 4 dl water
Procedure:
Wash, peal and then plane the apples. Put 3 spoons of cinnamon and the half cup of bread crumbs in this mixture. Lightly mix it together.
After you finish mixing previous mentioned ingredients take a phyllo leaf and sprinkle some oil on it. Then put the apple mixture on the leaf. The amount of mixture depends on the taste.
Fold the leaves as mentioned on the pictures bellow:




- Take a non stick baking sheet and pour a little bit of oil all over it (don’t miss the edge)
- Take the “snake shape dough” and put it at the end of the baking sheet
- Repeat the four pictures here above till your baking sheet is ful
Bake the apple pie 45 min – 200°c
Put in a little casserole 4dl of water and 400g of sugar and let I boil
Take the pie out of the oven – about 5 minutes before it is ready and pour the substance all over the pie. Put the pie for another 5 minutes in the oven
Done…
