Robin’s Holiday Pie

published by TREdwards on Nov 15, 2008

A pie that has become a holiday tradition in my home. It’s easy and so good. It’s a great pie to take to any pot luck. It’s a layered white chocolate and vanilla pie.

Will make two pies.

Ingredients

  • 2 premade vanilla waffer pie shells.
  • 1 large box of white chocolate instant pudding.
  • 1 small box of vanilla instant pudding.  (good as french vanilla also)
  • 1 bag of mini chocolate chips.
  • 1 white chocolate bar.
  • 1 large tub of cool whip.

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl mix the box of vanilla pudding.  Use the pie instructions.  When the pudding sets up fold half of the cool whip with the vanilla pudding.  Gentally fold in 1/3 cup of the mini chocolate chips in the mixture.  Now pour that into the pie shell.
  2. In the same bowl mix the white chocolate pudding.  Use the pie instructions.  After the pudding sets up gently spoon the pudding on top of the vanilla pudding in the pie shell.  Smooth the pudding out to make a layer on top of the vanilla pudding.
  3. On top of the puddings in the pie shell make a final layer with the rest of the cool whip.  Smooth the cool whip over the whole pie.
  4. Finally with a potato piller shave some of the white chocolate candy bar.  Best way to do this is if you freeze the candy bar for about 30 minutes.  Do this while mixing the other ingredients.  Sprinkle the shavings all over the pie.  Place the pie into the fredge for about 1hr to 2 hrs.
