Sour-Cream Blackberry Pie
This is a recipe passed to be by my grandmother.
Makes one 8 inch pie
Ingredients
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 3 cups of ripe blackberries
- 1 teaspoon of flour
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- grated nutmeg
Method
Mix together the sour cream, flour aand sugar. Spread the blackberries in the pie shell, sprinkle the lemon juice over the blackberries and cover the berries with the sour cream mixture. Grate a sprinkling of nutmeg over the top. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes, then deduce heat to 325 and bake for 40 minutes, or until berries are soft and bubbly.

just watch over the ingridients of this pie, i got to think that this could be the freshest pie i ever try. i love baking and no questioned, i really want to try this recipe. oh, is that okay if i put ripe mango or even pineapple together with blackberries? i just thinking that it is just more fresh and sour than you have. but have question about the texture os those mixing fruits.

Thanks for the recipe. Your grandmother was a nice cook that’s for sure. Great combination of Blackberry, nutmeg and lemon juice. All of them are my favorite.
