Rose Jam!

This is a recipe of a rose jam,the fragrance is incredible and the taste is sweet and fresh.

Ingredients

    100 gr. rose petals (The more fragrant the better)
    500 gr. sugar
     200 gr. water
     1 teaspoon of lemon juice

Preparation

  1. First we wash the rose petals and let them on a towel for 30 minutes.
  2. Then in a small casserole we put the water and the sugar to boil for a minute in high temperature,the syrop must be caramel colored (It depends you might  need two minutes not one).
  3. Then we add the rose petals and the lemon juice.Then we let it boil for 10 more minutes.(The first 4 minutes in high temperature and the other 6 in low temperature,be careful  mix a lot and the color of the jam must not change ,it depends on the oven ).
  4. Our jam must be cool when we put it in a jar.

Tip: This  rose jam is perfect to decorate and create other cakes and sweets it gives a pleasant aroma to them.

    I love rose but haven’t made rose jam before. I love how simple this recipe is so I’ll try it when I can find some organic roses.
