This is a recipe of a rose jam,the fragrance is incredible and the taste is sweet and fresh.
100 gr. rose petals (The more fragrant the better)
500 gr. sugar
200 gr. water
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- First we wash the rose petals and let them on a towel for 30 minutes.
- Then in a small casserole we put the water and the sugar to boil for a minute in high temperature,the syrop must be caramel colored (It depends you might need two minutes not one).
- Then we add the rose petals and the lemon juice.Then we let it boil for 10 more minutes.(The first 4 minutes in high temperature and the other 6 in low temperature,be careful mix a lot and the color of the jam must not change ,it depends on the oven ).
- Our jam must be cool when we put it in a jar.
Tip: This rose jam is perfect to decorate and create other cakes and sweets it gives a pleasant aroma to them.
