Rosemary Apple Tart
This tart is the perfect way to use fall apples. The Rosemary adds a nice earthy taste.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Rosemary leaves
- 8 oz Puff Pastry
- 6 large Apples (Granny Smith is the best choice) sliced
- 1/4-1/3 cup Cold Butter
- 1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese
- 1/3 cup light Brown Sugar
Method
- Preheat oven to 350*
- In a blender or food processor, chop Rosemary leaves until they are almost a powder.
- Roll out Puff Pastry into a 10-12″ square and place on a baking sheet lightly sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
- Spread Ricotta evenly over rolled pastry.
- Place apples, overlapping in rows.
- Pinch the edges of the pastry to create a raised edge.
- Sprinkle Rosemary and Brown Sugar evenly over Apples
- Place thin slices of cold butter on top of the sugar mix.
- Bake in preheated oven for aprox 30 minutes.
