Strawberry Pretzel Desert
A fun and tasty summertime desert that is quick, inexpensive, and easy to make.
The strawberry pretzel dessert is a great summertime treat, although I like to eat it all year long. The pretzels taste like pecans in this dessert. This is a recipe that is easy to make. It is quick, easy, inexpensive, and even the kids love to eat it!
Ingredients:
- 2 c. crushed pretzels
- 1 cube butter, melted
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 2 c. miniature marshmallows
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello
- 2 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
Method:
- Mix the first 3 ingredients and press into 10″x13″ dish. Bake 15 minutes in 350 degree oven. Set aside to cool.
- Cream softened cheese. Add the powdered sugar. Fold whipped topping into cream cheese mixture. Fold in marshmallows. Spread into cooled crust. Dissolve Jello in water. Add frozen, sliced strawberries. Chill until slightly thickened. Pour over cream layer. Chill.
- Yield 18-20 servings.
