Sugar Free Pie Crust Ingredients:

  • ½ Cup of Butter
  • 1 Cup of Flour
  • ½ Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 Pinch of Cinnamon

Sugar Free Pie Crust Method:

  1. Put butter into a small saucepan and over a medium heat cook until all of the butter has melted
  2. Into a sifter add the flour, the salt and the cinnamon and double sift to remove all clumps
  3. Preheat the oven to 3750 and grease or spray with a non-stick cooking spray, the bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie pan
  4. Into a medium sized mixing bowl add the melted butter and the double-sifted dry ingredients and beat, using a food processor or blender, for 30 seconds or until the mixture begins to stick to the sides of the mixing bowl (note that if you are mixing by hand this step will take a little longer)
  5. Pull the sugar free pie crust dough together and then turn it out into the prepared pie pan
  6. Lightly flour your fingers and press the sugar free pie crust dough onto the bottom and sides of the pie pan. Do not prick the sugar free pie crust.
  7. Put sugar free pie crust into a preheated oven and bake at 3500 for 10 minutes
  8. Add the filling into the partially baked sugar free pie crust, spreading with a spatula as required, then return the filled pie to the oven and continue baking until it’s done

No Bake Filling Sugar Free Pie Crust Method:

  1. For a fully baked sugar free pie crust shell for use with no bake fillings, follow the above steps except bake for 18-20 minutes continuously or until the sugar free pie crust turns a golden brown
  2. Once cooked, remove the sugar free pie crust shell from the oven and use in accordance with the no bake pie filling recipe’s instructions
