Tiramisu Recipe

This scrummy desert is my low fat version, just as lovely believe me! Simple and sweet.

Ingredients

  • Cocoa powder
  • Vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs
  • Coffee flavoured liqueur
  • Caster sugar
  • Dark chocolate
  • Sponge fingers
  • Instant coffee
  • Serving pots

Method

  1. Firstly whisk the 2 egg yolks, 70g of caster sugar and 1 tsp of vanilla essence in a bowl. When smooth whisk in the 2 egg whites and fold at a pace into the mixture.
  2. Put a quarter of the mixture into a dish.
  3. Mix 5tsp coffee liquor and 185ml of instant coffee and dip in 12 sponge fingers. Then place these into the dish. Pour over another quarter of the mixture. Crush 12 sponge fingers over the top and pour over the remaining mixture.
  4. Place dessert in fridge over night, it is then ready to serve.
