Two Exotic and Healthy Banana Puddings

These are the best banana pudding recipes ever. They are simple banana pudding recipes that are extremely healthy and delicious. Even though there are lots of variations of banana pudding available, I have included only the normal banana pudding and magnolia banana pudding.

Banana Pudding Desert recipe

Ingredients

1 (15 oz) can skim milk 2/3 cup water

1/3 cup sugar 3 Tablespoons cornstarch

1 egg, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla

1 sliced banana 12 vanilla wafers

Preparation

Place milk and water into saucepan. Blend sugar and cornstarch together and add to milk mixture, stirring until dry ingredients are dissolved. Cook over medium low heat, stirring often, until mixture comes to a full boil. Boil 1 minute. Mixture should begin to thicken. Remove from heat. Stir 1/2 cup of the hot mixture into the beaten egg. Then add egg mixture to saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Layer pudding in serving bowl with sliced banana and 10 vanilla wafers. Crumble remaining two vanilla wafers and sprinkle over the top layer of pudding.

Magnolia banana pudding recipe

Ingredients

1 (12-ounce) milk. You can use a sweetened condensed milk can.

1 1/2 cups water preferably cold.

1 (3 ounce) Vanilla pudding mix

2.5 cups cream of good quality

1 (10-ounce) Wafers. It is important that you use Nabisco Nilla wafers. This is the secret ingredient :)

5 cups bananas, well sliced and washed.

Preparation

Use an electric mixer in medium speed to beat together the milk and water until they are mixed well for about 60 seconds. The pudding mix must be then added and beaten well for about 150 seconds. In order to get the pudding to set, we will have to refrigerate it till it is well formed.  Whip the cream using a medium speed electic mixer until stiff peaks form. Now the important part, that is to fold pudding mixture gentely into the cream which you wipped until it is blended well.
