White Chocolate Oranges

Easy, cheap, delicious dessert!

This is so delicious you can’t stop! So easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 3 large oranges
  • block of good quality white chocolate
  • small bottle of brandy
  • Large saucepan
  • Large seal-tight glass container

Method

Fill saucepan with water, add the unpeeled oranges and bring to boil.

Simmer gently for about 2 hours then drain and let oranges cool.

With a sharp knife carefully cut the whole oranges into thin slices and place in a glass jar/container. Pack them down to fit and cover the lot with a generous amount of brandy. Put in fridge and leave a few weeks. (the longer you can leave them the better but I have never been able to wait longer than 3 weeks).

When time has elapsed, put 3 or 4 orange slices into a small heatproof bowl (I use Chinese finger bowls), with some of the liquid. Place about 4 squares of white chocolate on the top of orange slices and microwave 1 minute or until chocolate is soft. Remove from microwave and gently swirl the chocolate around on top.

Serve warm and your guests will swoon with delight!
