Would You Like Dessert? That’ll be $34,684 Thanks!

This is one dessert I can guarantee you won’t have any trouble turning down that second helping!

Marc Guibert is the head chef at the delightful Lindeth Howe Country House in Windermere, Cumbria, UK and has been inspired by Faberge’s famous eggs to make a rather special dessert.  We are not talking about any ordinary special pudding here though. This one will set you back more than a few dollars; in fact, it is the most expensive dessert in the world.

So, what special ingredients are used to make the world’s most expensive dessert?

If you are thinking of re-creating this master piece here’s what you will need on your shopping list:

Gold

Champaign caviar

High quality Belgian chocolate

And a 2 carat diamond

This extra special pudding is layered with champagne jelly and topped with edible gold leaf.

Fancy a taste? Don’t expect to get much change from $35,000

This record breaking dessert will only be recognized as the world record holder if someone actually buys it. Yep, surprisingly, no one has been willing to fork out for the huge price tag on this decadent dessert as yet.

This delicious pudding is being launched especially for the UK’s national chocolate week (it’s national chocolate week every week in my home!)

And just to entice you to open your wallet; Lindeth Howe’s managing director – Stephen Broughton said of the dessert:

“It looks spectacular, tastes incredible and has a price tag to match!”

Well, I can absolutely agree with two of those points but I’m afraid I will just have to take your word on the other point.

Unfortunately, writing for Triond doesn’t pay THAT well.
