Cacao Berry Smoothie

This refreshing smoothie is perfect for a hot summer day and it’s vegan!

What’s better than a refreshing smoothie on a hot summer day? A refreshing vegan smoothie on a hot summer day! This recipe only takes a few minutes to make!

  • 1 bag of frozen Blackberries (16 oz.)
  • ¼ bag of frozen Strawberries (4 oz.)
  • ¾ con of coconut milk (around 8.8 fl oz. )
  • 10 cacao beans
  • Sugar to taste
  • About ¼ cup of water depending on how thick you like your smoothies

You can buy cacao beans at health food stores like Whole Foods or Wild Oats, they’re a little expensive but definitely worth the cost! If you want to make this a raw smoothie, you can substitute the coconut milk for coconut water, any nut milk, or just water and the sugar can be substituted for agave nectar (or any raw sweetener).
