Chamomile and Fennel Tea

This tea soothes the mind, and the stomach. The properties of fennel, chamomile, and the other herbs can help ease troubles caused by an over acidic system, while encouraging better digestive health.

This tea soothes the mind, and the stomach. The properties of fennel, chamomile, and the other herbs can help ease troubles caused by an over acidic system, while encouraging better digestive health. Please note that this tea, and many other herbal combinations, are not suitable for use while pregnant. This mixture makes around three servings. However, the blend of herbs can be made in larger batches and stored in an airtight tin or jar for future use.

Ingredients:

16 fluid ounces of water

1 Teaspoon of Chamomile flowers

1 Teaspoon of meadowsweet

1 Teaspoon of fennel seeds

1 Teaspoon of Yarrow

1 Teaspoon of finely chopped marshmallow root

Directions:

  1. Place all the herbs in a teapot

  2. Bring water to a boil.

  3. Add hot water to the herb filled teapot.

  4. Allow the tea to steep for around five minutes.

  5. Strain, serve, and enjoy.

If taking this tea as a herbal remedy, it is suggest that each serving is one cup, and that you sip two to three servings a day. This tea is not just soothing, it is helpful. However, because of the herbal properties that it contains it is best to refrain from exceeding the recommended therapeutic dosage.
