Dry Martini

In early 1910s Mr Martini a barman from N.Y. gave his name to what was meant to be most famous cocktail in the world. Those early martinis would have equal proportions of gin and dry vermouth.

Through a century martini become much more drier and proportions can vary from 15:1 to 4:1. Here is the official I.B.A. Recipe.

MARTINI ( DRY ) Pre dinner ( martini glass )
5.5 cl Gin
1.5 cl Dry Vermouth
Pour all ingredients into mixing glass with ice cubes. Stir well Strain in chilled martini cocktail glass. Squeeze oil from lemon peel onto the drink, or garnish with olive.
