5-6 ice cubes

1/2 measure dry vermouth

3 measure gin

1 green olive

put the ice cubes into a mixing glass. pour the vermouth and gin over the ice and stir (never shake) vigourously and evenly without splashing, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. serve with a green olive.
