Be your own bartender and make a delicious Godiva Chocolate Martini at home!

A true martini is gin and vermouth; however, in recent years martinis have taken on several variations.  Now, provided something is served in a martini glass it is a type of martini.  Chocolate lovers now have a way to get the chocolate fix and their liquor fix as well–the chocolate martini!  There are actually several variations of the chocolate martini, but the Godiva Chocolate Martini has become the most popular.  It is a perfect after dinner drink and substitute for dessert, particularly for those who prefer to drink their calories rather than eat them!

In order to make a Godiva Chocolate Martini, you will need the following:

  • 1 1/2 shots of Godiva® chocolate liqueur
  • 1 1/2 shots of creme de cacao
  • 1/2 shot of vodka
  • 2 1/2 shots of half-and-half

Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until the cocktail shaker is cold to the touch.

Strain the contents into a chilled martini glass and serve.
