Give your guests a handful of martini recipes and the ingredients to mix the drinks themselves,and before too long they’ll be urging each other to experiment,trading sips of their cocktails.

You need to provide printed recipes for 3-4 different martini drinks,the liquors and mixers,and strainers for pouring.As everyone gets in touch with his or her inner bartender,both the coctails and the conversation will flow.

Set up one big table as the martini mixing station.To protect the table,I put a plastic tablecloth on top of it,covered with cloth.You can throw this party in the backyard on summer time or use card tables if you are concerned,but whatever you do,create  a space taht will put your mind in ease so you can enjoy yourself.

By the liquors and mixers for each drink,plus any garnishes.You also need to buy ice and plenty of coctail napkins.You will need enough cocktail shakers with lids.Make sure each is accompanied by  a strainer.You will also need three jiggers or measuring cups that show ounces and one martini glass per guest.

Assemble the ingredients for each drink in little groupings with the recipe card,one or two shakers,a strainer,jigger,and a bucket of ice.

Examples of the drinks:

LEMON – TINI

3 oz vodka

2 oz lemon juice

1/2 oz simple syrup

1/2 oz Cointreau

1/4 orange bitters

Shake  all the ingredients with ice and strain into a glass.

CHERRY-TINI

1 1/4 oz vodka

1 1/4 oz bourbon

1 1/4 oz lemon juice

1 1/4 oz maraschino cherrry juice

maraschino cherries

Shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into a glass.Garnish with a cherry.
