Mint Julep

A Southern classic- A very refreshing cocktail certain to keep you cool when the temperatures rise…

Handful of mint leaves
3 tbls caster sugar
Cracked ice
450 ml bourbon
12 mint sprigs

Serves 6

Put mint leaves in a jug; add the sugar and 30 ml of water. Stir with wooden spoon to dissolve sugar and crush mint leaves. Refrigerate for one hour then strain into glass serving jug. Fill jug with cracked ice, pour in whiskey and stir. Chill for 30 minutes.

Pour into tumblers and garnish with mint sprigs.
