A great wine recipe to serve for Thankgiving or Christmas.

This is my Mom’s recipe for making cranberry wine. It is very easy to make, and is so sweet, and good with Thanksgiving turkey. It is also good for Christmas dinner as well. I make this wine on Halloween night just so it will be ready for Thanksgiving. I nicknamed it the “Nectar of the Gods”, because it is so sweet. It is delicious. You can also make a grape wine from this recipe. It just depends on your tastes and preferences..
Ingredients
- 4 small or 2 family sized cans of frozen cranberry or grape juice {it must be 100 percent juice not drink}
- 3 1/2 cups of sugar
Method
- Mix the juice and the sugar together swirling it around in a half gallon container
- Mix separately in a cup of warm water a 1/4 oz. package of yeast.
- Then, mix the above ingredients together gently until dissolved.
- Put all of these ingredients together in a glass gallon jug. Plastic will not work, it has to be glass.
- Fill the jug the rest of the way up with cool water. Swirl the contents around gently.
- Put a balloon on the neck of the glass gallon jug.
- Stick the balloon with one stick of a needle pin. Only one pin hole
- Put tape around the neck of the jug to keep the top from blowing off.
- Swirl the jug around several times to mix the contents.
- Store in a cabinet for 21 days, in which time the balloon should go down.
- After, this time period remove the balloon and strain the contents.
- Sample the wine and put into wine bottles.
- Refrigerate and serve icy cold with your favorite Holiday meal. Enjoy
Note: If you intend on keeping this wine for more than a week or so, go to a local wine store, and purchase stabilizing pills. This wine recipe will eventually turn vinegary after a few weeks.

Awesome. I can do this. I’ll probably go with grape, though. I’ll keep you posted on my progress. Hopefully, I’ll be toasting you!
