This is a secret to prepare a cup of perfect Chinese Tea.

  1. Firstly, get a packet or a tin of good quality tea leaves but not teabag
  2. Next, boil water in a kettle. When the water boils, leave the kettle on the stove for 2 to 3 minutes so that the temperature drops slightly below 100 degree Celsius.
  3. Then, pour the hot water into the pot to warm it
  4. Cover the teapot and pour water over the entire teapot, including the cover
  5. Wait for a short while; pour out the water from the pot
  6. Put some tea leaves into the pot and fill up 2/3 of the teapot with hot water. Then pour away this water immediately to clear the dirt of leaves and to enable the leaves to release its flavor and fragrant.
  7. Pour in the next round of hot water up to the brim of the pot and cover it. Leave it for a minute or more.
  8. Warm the teacups with warm water while waiting for the tea
  9. Pour out the tea directly into the teacups. Fill about 1 cm of tea in each cup first before going on to the next. Otherwise, the quality of tea in each cup is uneven. Fill a little into each cup until all are fully filled.
  10. The essence of the tea is the last few drops. So, make sure you fill each cup a few drops equally.
