Drinks for The Party

Great drinks make for a perfect party!

Lime Swizzle

1   6-ounce can frozen limeade concentrate, partially thawed

1   6-ounce can frozen lemonade concentrate, partially thawed

3 cups cold water

1 pint lime sherbet

1  32-ounce bottle lemon-lime carbonated beverage, well chilled

Combine limeade and lemonade concentrates and cold water in a large pitcher stir until concentrates thaw completely.  Stir in the sherbet until almost melted; stir in the chilled lemon-lime beverage.  Pour in glasses.  Garnish each serving with lime or lemon slices, if desired.  Makes 10 servings.

House Punch

2 1/2 quarts 7-Up

1 6-ounce can frozen orange juice

2  6 ounce frozen lemonade

Southern Comfort

3 to 4 trays of ice cubes

red food coloring

Sir lightly.  Add orange slices and cherries to garnish.

Apricot Liqueur

1 pound diced, dried apricots

1/5 vodka

1/2 pound rock candy

Put in 1/2 gallon bottle.   Shake twice a day for 10 days.

Party Punch

1  16-ounce can frozen concentrated pineapple-orange juice, diluted

1  10-ounce frozen strawberries thawed

1 pint strawberry ice cream, slightly softened

4  7 ounce cans lemon-lime carbonated beverage, chilled

1 pint strawberry ice cream

Combine the pineapple-orange juice, strawberries and 1 pint softened ice cream.  Blend until smooth.  Add lemon-lime carbonated beverage just before serving.  Top with scoops of the remaining ice cream.
