Holiday Favorite: Cranberry Chutney

A traditional holiday favorite.

You will need

½ (16 ounce) pack fresh whole cranberries

1 cup sugar

½ cup water

½ cup orange juice

½ cup raisins

½ cup chopped walnuts

½ unpeeled medium sized apple, chopped

1 ½ teaspoon orange zest

This dish requires less than 30 minutes to prepare.

1.       In a 3 quart saucepan, bring cranberries, water and sugar to a boil.  Reduce heat.

2.       Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3.       Remove from heat, stir in the orange juice, raisins, walnuts, apple, orange zest.

4.       Spoon into a medium sized serving bowl.  Cover and place in the refrigerator until serving.

    I adorcranberies. I eat a whole can myself when e have pork or dinner! I do not eat it all at dinner as iI eat half at dinner and the rest for breakfast.
    My mom has to mae this for me!.
