Hot Spiced Tea

Hot drink for sharing.

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 cup pineapple juice (unsweetened)
  • 4 t tea leaves
  • 6T lemon juice
  • 1 quart boiling water
  • 2 t lemon rind
  1. Boil water, sugar and cloves
  2. Leave for 5 minutes
  3. Add pineapple juice and lemon
  4. Pour boiling water over tea leaves
  5. Let stand for 5 minutes
  6. Strain and combine with strained fruit juice
  7. Add a few red hots for color
  8. To serve cold, omit boiling water and tea and add 1 quart ginger ale
