Indian Home-made Chaitea Masala

Indian masala chai/tea is famous for its taste. Prepare the famous masala chai at home by preparing the chai masala at home.

To make 250gms of Tea masala you would need the below ingredients

Ingrdients:

120 gms Dry Ginger Powder(Saute)
90 gms   Black Pepper (Kali Mirchi)
5 gms   Mace Powder(Javitri)
10 gms   Cinnamon Powder(Dal chini)
10 gms   Peepramul (Ganthoda )
5 gms   Nutmeg Powder(Jaiphal)
5 gms (5 to 7 pieces)    Clove (lavang)
5 gms or (10 to15 pieces) Cardamom (Elaichi)

Method:

Now in a coffee grinder add all the above herbs and grind it making a fine powder.
Your Chai Masala is ready.

Storage:
Store Chai Masala in a air tight container and use it as and when required.

To Prepare authentic Indian Chai:

For two cups of tea, take 1 cup of water in a pot, get the water to a boiling point.
Now add 1/4 tsp of chai masala. Let the water boil for some more time so that the masala gets boiled well, than add the tea leaves and boil for couple of minutes.
Add milk and sugar as required at the end and sieve it in a cup and enjoy.

Enjoy the authentic Indian Masal Chai.
