Pepper’s Iced Tea Recipe

Peppery9’s Iced Tea Recipe, modified by myself.

Ingredients

  • Water
  • 5x teabags [any flavour you wish, standard will do, herbal teas, like raspberry or blackcurrant work nicely too]
  • Sugar
  • Lemon juice
  • Any other items of flavouring you feel daring enough to add

Method:

  1. Boil the teapot, kettle or whatever and obtain (somehow) 5 cups of boiling water. It’s easiest to put this is a large measuring jug or a bowl to prevent spills!
  2. Place the 5 teabags into the boiling water. You can add more or less depending on what you wish the strength of the Iced Tea to be. Stir occasionally, and you can “bleed” the teabags against the sides of the container to get more tea out of them. Just squish them against the sides, don’t be too rough – you don’t want to make a hole in one of them!
  3. Add some sugar if you wish, I put about 2 tablespoons in. Stir to dissolve into the tea-water.
  4. Add some lemon juice and stir.
  5. Instead or as well as step 3 and 4, you could add any various flavouring you would like: honey, vanilla essence, lime juice, orange juice etc.
  6. Get some fresh, cold water and add as needed. (I choose about 4 cups), this again is dependent on how you want the iced tea. The less you add, the stronger it’ll be – but the recipe will make a smaller quantity.
  7. Place the container in the fridge, make sure the top is covered and well sealed so that nothing nasty drips into it and leave it for about 2 hours.
  8. [Important] Enjoy!
