Coffee Lovers
Millions of people, through out the world drink coffee. Has anyone ever wondered where coffee first came from, or even how long its been in existence? Not many I’m sure. At least not unless they are making an agricultural study of coffee and its history. Coffee is so familiar a product that it’s taken for granted for the most part.
Since this is not meant to be a history lesson, I’ll be brief. The earliest evidence comes from the mid-fifteenth century. In Yemen in the southern part of Arabia, and spread to the rest of the Muslim world by the sixteenth century. Then spread to Europe, followed by the Dutch shipping it to the Americas and East Indies.
What made coffee such a prized commodity was its effects. Those who drank the brew found a release from fatigue, and lethargy, resulting in a feeling of vigor. An effect we still experience today. Coffee lovers drink coffee in the morning, afternoon and in the evening with or without food. Coffee lovers know that they can get coffee in its original form, or even as a specialty drink in many various forms.
We all have favorite blends of coffee, breakfast blend, French blend, dark blend are just some of the types available. Oh! And don’t forget espresso, a blend found to be popular in making cappuccino and frappe coffee.
