Sangria and Mojito Recipes

A nice refreshing alcoholic drink at the beginning of an evening.

Sangria

Total time: 15 minutes  Serving: 15

750 ml of any red wine (personal preference is red Zinfandel)

2 cups lemon-lime soda

1/2 cup orange 

5 teaspoons sugar

Ice cube

1 cup each of unsweetened blueberries, blackberries and stawberries

 When it comes to the fruit even the wine you can switch it up. You could use kiwi’s, peaches, raspberries. You get the idea

Directions:

In a pitcher, stir the wine. soda, orange juice and sugar, until the sugar is dissolved. Add the frozen fruit. Serve over ice. Lots and lots of ice.

Mojito

Total time: 8 minutes Serving:1

1 to 2 lime wedges

2 mint sprigs

2 teaspoons confectioners’ sugar

1 cup of ice cubes

2 ounces rum (tradional version)/2 ounces tequila (come on try it)

Club soda

Squeeze lime wedge into a highball glass;drop lime into glass. Add the rst to it, rum and club soda last. Garnish with mint and lime wedges, and drink up.
