Spiced Apple Cider

A delicious beverage to serve at Fall Festivals.

Ingredients

 

2 1/2 qt. apple cider

1 lb. light brown sugar

2 cinnamon sticks

12 whole cloves

 

Method

 

Add brown sugar to the apple cider. Add cinnamon sticks and whole cloves, which have been tied in a cheesecloth bag. Simmer the mixture for 15 minutes. Remove the spices and serve hot.

    I do love apple cider too. Specially this time of year and at Hallooween when I was kid and that was our treat after walking for over two hours get candy.

    I’ve never been a big fan of cider in any form, but this does look good! We make hot spiced tea in the fall and winter months.
