St. Patrick’s Day Drinks

published by DA Cournean on Mar 13, 2009

It is festive to drink green beer on St. Patricks day. However here are a few alternatives for those who are not beer drinkers. Something for the kiddies and non drinkers too.

The Frogger

3 oz. creme de mint

3 oz. Kaluha

4 oz. Irish creme

Combine in a shaker with ice, pour into shot glasses. makes 5 shots

Dublin Hand Shake

1/2 oz. Bailey’s Irish creme

1/2 oz. Irish whiskey

3/4 oz. sloe gin

Combine in shaker with ice. Strain into rocks glass w/ice

The Dancing Leprechaun

1 1/2 oz. Irish whiskey

3/4 oz. scotch whiskey

3/4 oz. lemon juice

ginger ale

Pour into a tall glass with ice

For the kids

Shamrock shake

1 c. milk

3 or 4 scoops mint or chocolate chip mint ice cream

Mix in blender until smooth

A few drops of green food coloring will give ginger ale and lemonade a more festive look for the kids and tea totalers!
