Strawberry Lemon Slush

published by KittyK on Jun 11, 2012

A refreshing beverage you will enjoy and make over and over…

Whether you are seeking a cool and refreshing drink, or a pick-me-up, this Slush will do the trick. Also, it can be made to alleviate the suffering from nausea and heartburn.   I personally make anywhere from 6 to 10 times the recipe and freeze some leftover slush mixture into pop molds or cups and add a Popsicle stick for the kids!

Strawberry Lemon Crush

12 ounce    Can Lemon-lime carbonated beverage

1               Cup fresh or frozen strawberries (you can substitute raspberries as well)

1               Teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice (more if you like it more tangy)

1               Cups crushed ice

Add all ingredients to a blender and whirl on medium speed until smooth.  Pour into chilled tall glasses and serve with fruit garnishes or plain.  Serves 3.

When I read slush I thought it was going to contain alcohol because before I started my medicine my aunt made an alcoholic slush for Christmas and I had some. But I like your recipe better as I cannot drink alcohol any longer. I was not even allowed to drink it on my 21st birthday.
