Whenever I have to buy a home appliance as a gift, blender is always the first choice. Do you know why? Blender can help us stay healthy if we make good use of it. This article will tell you why and how.

Raw vegetables and fruits can be blended into drinks that have high nutritional value. People of all ages benefit from the drinks, especially when they need supplement to a certain kind of nutrients, are easy losing appetite in summer, don’t like drinking water, and need replacing soft drinks with something healthier.

Why a blender can help us stay healthy?

Vegetables and fruits are commonly used. They are highly desirable in a healthy diet. With the help of a blender, we can use raw materials to avoid food processing. Less food addictive are always good to health.

Nutrients such as Vitamin C are easy destroyed by heat. When no cooking is required, nutrients can be preserved to the maximum.

When one’s favorite vegetables and fruits blends with some other ingredients, the new flavor may extend the enjoyment of your favorites with less boredom.

The more flavors you try, the more likely you will fall in love with some of them. The preference will change one’s diet in a healthier direction.

Different colors

The drinks will take up the color of the blended ingredients. There is no need to rely on food coloring to make the drinks look more appealing. Choose a transparent glass and present the drink with a straw. It will look like a special drink in a restaurant. This can lure kids or even adults forsake unhealthy soft drinks and consume home-made ones that are healthier.

Blender can help make a drink with high nutritional value. People can choose what nutrients to intake by understanding the benefits of different ingredients. The mix and match help people maintain a well-balanced diet easier.

A healthy substitute

People are generally recommended to drink eight glasses of water per day. Though some people may need fewer glasses, drinking water only will be quite boring. Drinks made from a blender will be a better substitute than soft drinks.

Some simple recipes for blending:

All you need is to get the ingredients, clean them, get rid of the peels and pits, cut them into small pieces and blend them together.

very good advice and nice recipes, well done Linda. Time to take out my blender again (which has become a white elephant). However, I’m not used to drink fruit juice with vegetables, especially celery, I don’t mind just fruits only. By the way, once I was blending apples, i cut the apples with knife, but one of the slices too big, and I use my bare hands to break it, and it fly to behind the fridge, and I have to shift the fridge a little in order to retrieve it, nobody believed what I said. I blamed the noise which made my mind messy. I always find using the blender very troublesome as the sound very noisy also, so I ended up kept them aside, your post here reminds me to take it out again. :)

Excellent ideas. A must for anyone who wants to stay healthy. Especially for Indian cooking, we need a blender, what we call a mixie. And we need a pressure cooker too to cook pulses and you can blend this too with veggies as you mention.

I like blended drinks, it just feels smooth and I feel like it’s so easy to be drank. Well, but sometimes I do feel a little bit lazy to peel all those fruits and clean up the mess afterward! LOL :D

Thanks for sharing these recipes with us. I have a blender too and it is time to take it out and use it. Now that it is getting hot outside it is the perfect time to start using it. It would be easier to get all of my fruits and veggies if I mixed them in the blender.

I’ve got a friend who’s very addicted to blender too. She learn to live without a blender when her blender was broken, but then told me, she’s gotta buy a new one soon ^,^
