Chicken and Pork Adobo cooking guide.

The Chicken Adobo is one of the most delicious Filipino Cuisine. Almost all Filipno Loves it and knows how to cook it. The well known adobo in the Philippines is now taking it’s level on the next stage, it is already being craved by people around the world. For those who do not know what is this adobo that i was bragging about, why don’t you try cook it your self and taste the food that everyone is craving.

Estimated cooking time: 35-40 minutes

Adobo Ingredients:

1/2 kilo pork cut in cubes + 1/2 kilo chicken, cut into pieces

or any of the two 1 kilo of pork or 1 kilo of chicken

1 whole garlic, sliced

1 whole onion, sliced

1 small cup of soy sauce

1/2 small cup of vinegar

4 laurel leaves

Pinch of black pepper

1/4 small cup of cooking oil or olive oil

5 tablespoons of fish sauce

1 – 2 cups of water

How to cook:

In a big sauce pan or wok, heat 1/4 small cup of cooking oil or any oil that you have, then saute the sliced  garlic and onions.

Add the pork and chicken to the pan, pour 5 tablespoon of Fish sauce to the pan or wok where the meat is, then mix till tender.

Pour 1/2 cup of vinegar to the pan where the meats are, and then wait till the vinegar is cooked, wait until 10-15 minute. warning: do not mix.

When the vinegar is already cooked or already boiled with the pan for 15 minutes. Pour now the 1 cup of soy sauce, then mixed it with the vinegar.

Put the black pepper and the laurel leaves. Then mixed again.

Pour 2 cups of water, and wait till it boils, when already boiling, keep it boiling at least another 5 minutes then there it is, your own adobo.

    Great recipe… yummy.. but i don’t eat pork. what shall i add instead?

    you can use squid or fishers but if you will use fishes try to put many onions and sliced potatoes

    Yummy I like chicken, I like the white meat better then the dark.
