Alcoholic Chicken

Get drunk with this chicken on whiskey.

Ingredients:

  • ½ kilo chicken, cut into desired portions
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 large cucumber or pipino
  • 2 cups 7Up or Sprite or any clear softdrinks
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. white sugar
  • 15ml whiskey

Method:

  1. Marinate chicken in softdrinks for 10-15 minutes
  2. Saute garlic, onion, and bell pepper. Add the chicken and softdrinks. Then add the remaining ingredients except cucumber. Add salt and pepper to taste. Boil for 15 minutes or until chicken is tender.
  3. Set aside the sauce. Fry the chicken until golden brown. Put back the sauce. Add the cucumber. Simmer for 5 minutes.

    whew! I got really drunk with this new recipe. I have been munching raw cucumber especially during breaks in the afternoon but now that I tasted it with chicken and a dash of whiskey, it’s going to be a good habit.
