Chinese Chicken Curry: The Easy Way

Simple and quick way to make Chinese chicken curry.

Ingredients

  • Two breasts of chicken.
  • Curry Powder
  • Plain Flour
  • Chinese Five Spice Powder
  • Gravy granules
  • Sugar
  • Large Onion
  • Handful of Garden Peas
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Water

        

Method

  1. Cook two chicken breasts in the oven until cooked thoroughly.
  2. Chop chicken into large square chunks and put to one side.
  3. In a bowl mix two desert spoons of curry powder, one desert spoon of plain flour, one teaspoon of Chinese five spice powder, a teaspoon of gravy granules and a teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt.
  4. Slowly add boiled water to the mix and stir until a thick paste is formed.
  5. Heat some cooking oil in a pan, when hot add the paste mixture to the pan.
  6. Slowly add boiled water to the pan, stirring constantly until a smooth curry sauce is made.
  7. Add a handful of cooked Garden peas to the sauce.
  8. Add the chopped chicken to your curry sauce.
  9. Chop up one large onion into coarse square shaped pieces.
  10. Fry the onion in oil in a wok or frying pan on a very hot heat until the onion begins to brown, the onion must be fried fast enough to remain crisp and slightly crunchy.
  11. Add the contents of the wok including oil to your curry and that’s it!
  12. Serve with Rice or Chips or both.

    cool curry and chips! I would have to substitute with soya chicken style breasts but that sounds easy enough even for me!
