Easy and Cheap General Tso’s Chicken for Your Favorite Holiday

Can be made in under 10 minutes.
Ever ate at a Chinese food place and had a certain chicken called “General Tso’s Chicken”? The sweet chicken with a hint of spice. Well I have a recipe that takes that and makes it great for any occasion, Wether it be a holiday like Christmas or Thanks Giving, or an appetizer for them guys nights where the boys come over for the big game.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1 medium onion diced, sliced or minced (your preference)
- 3 Tbl spoons chile powder
- 3 teaspoons oil (your preference, mine is olive oil)
- Sauce
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tbl spoons fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 2 ½ cups water
- 1 tbl spoon chicken bouillon
Directions
- mix the sauce ingredients in a medium size bowl and chill for 5 minutes
- fry the onion until browned set aside
- after sauce is chilled add the chile powder to sauce and stir
- add oil into wok or any kind of skillet or frying pan you have, and wait till oil is crackling.(NOT POPPING)
- dip chicken slices into sauce and fry till fully cooked.
- with extra sauce add onions and serve in a dipping bowl
- now dip the fried chicken in your onion sauce and chow down!
