Easy and Cheap General Tso’s Chicken for Your Favorite Holiday

Can be made in under 10 minutes.

Ever ate at a Chinese food place and had a certain chicken called “General Tso’s Chicken”? The sweet chicken with a hint of spice. Well I have a recipe that takes that and makes it great for any occasion, Wether it be a holiday like Christmas or Thanks Giving, or an appetizer for them guys nights where the boys come over for the big game.

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 medium onion diced, sliced or minced (your preference)
  • 3 Tbl spoons chile powder
  • 3 teaspoons oil (your preference, mine is olive oil)
  • Sauce
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tbl spoons fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 1 tbl spoon chicken bouillon

Directions

  1. mix the sauce ingredients in a medium size bowl and chill for 5 minutes
  2. fry the onion until browned set aside
  3. after sauce is chilled add the chile powder to sauce and stir
  4. add oil into wok or any kind of skillet or frying pan you have, and wait till oil is crackling.(NOT POPPING)
  5. dip chicken slices into sauce and fry till fully cooked.
  6. with extra sauce add onions and serve in a dipping bowl
  7. now dip the fried chicken in your onion sauce and chow down!
