Easy Beef Teriyaki Recipe

It’s easy to make teriyaki. Here’s how.

My mom is not fond of cooking. Sure, she can cook but she’s not the type whom you can always see in the kitchen. There was a time more than a decade ago when she suddenly was into cooking, suddenly collecting recipes. Ever since she cooked this for us it has become a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 kilo beef (sliced thinly)
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 large ginger root (peeled and minced)
  • 1 large onion (minced)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a shallow pan using your hand.
  2. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Simmer for 30 minutes over low heat.
  4. Serve with rice.
