published by pattiannD on May 19, 2011

Here is another. My sister is taking a vacation to Florida on Friday and she said it was supposed to be 91 and the 90’s all week. Great recipes for those in Florida.

Chili barbecue sauce

1 cup chili sauce or catsup (ketchup)

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

2 Tablespoons brown sugar

1 clove garlic minced

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp paprika

2 Tbsp lemon juice

1 Tbsp worcestshire sauce

Chicken3 to 31/2 pounds cut up fryer chicken

A. Heat grill. In small saucepan combine all sauce ingredients; mix well.

B.  When ready to grill, place chicken on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coal. Cook to 40 to 50 minutes or until chicken is fork tender and juices run clear, turning and brushing with sauce frequently during last 15 minutes of cooking. Bring left over sauce to a boil and serve with chicken.
