How to Make Chicken Tikka

Try this oil free recipe, its great.

Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken – 500 gms
  • Lemon juice -2 medium size
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt as per taste

2nd marination

  • Chilli paste – 1 tsp
  • Gram powder masala
  • Yogurt – 1 tbl.sp
  • Cream – 45 ml
  • Black salt to taste
  • Freshly roasted cumin powder – ½ tsp
  • Garam masala powder – ¼ tsp
  • Kasori methi powder – ¼ tsp
  • Mustard oil – 1 tbl.sp

Method

For preparing gram flour powder masala, take 1 tbl.sp of gram flour and 1 tbl.sp of mustard oil, fry it together in a deep frying pan, add to it pinch of chopped ginger, green chilli and turmeric.

Cut the chicken into medium pieces, add to it lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder and salt and mix well and keep for marination in the refrigerator for few hours.

Remove from the refrigerator, make a paste from the second marination and mix it and apply on the chicken. Skewer them and cook in a tandoor or oven and serve hot with roti and chutney.

Make a nice smooth paste with the ingredients of the second marination and fold it in the chicken from the first marination into the second. Skewer them and cook in a tandoor. Serve hot with fresh mint and coriander chutney
