It is not very filling either, but it can be far tastier and much more satisfying when grilled chicken is added along with other flavorful toppings. A salad can be different each day, and it can be the answer when trying to shed a few pounds while enjoying healthier foods. Ingredients

When trying to make really good grilled chicken salad, it is not necessary to spend a lot of time preparing the meat. Buy ready-made frozen grilled chicken strips or boneless fillets. You will also need lettuce of your choice and any other desired toppings. Consider adding fresh crisp cucumber slices, shredded cheddar cheese, tomato wedges or the cherry or grape variety, thin rings of red onion, real bacon bits and crunchy seasoned croutons. The dressing variety is a matter of personal taste. For the best grilled chicken salad, try something oil-based. Greek dressing is absolutely delicious, and it is perfect with grilled chicken salad. When counting calories or cutting back, keep in mind that the body require a certain amount of oil to function properly, and fats should not be completely eliminated.

Procedure

To assemble the best looking grilled chicken salad, begin by grilling or heating the chicken. If it is not already sliced, cut it into strips about a half-inch wide. Each salad should contain about four-ounces of chicken.

Next, cover the bottom of a plate or serving dish with a lettuce mixture of your choice. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and bacon bits on top. When using cucumber, onion and tomatoes, place a cucumber slice in each corner with a tomato wedge alongside.
