Left Over Turkey Recipes _ Pot Pie

published by Kimberly Lee on Nov 30, 2009

What to do with your left overs.

Everyone loves a pot pie, but they are not always easy to make.

After turkey dinner, make a simple pot pie with your left overs. It’s easier than you think and sure to please everyone.

You can dice potatoes or use left over mashed ones. Mix the potatoes with chopped up turkey and left over gravy. That’s always the hard part, having left over gravy, but I make a ton since it seems to be what everyone likes.

You can always throw in some frozen veggies as well.

Buy an already prepared pie crust from the store.

You can have crust on the bottom or just the top or both. I like it on both.

Cut out the pie a little bigger than the pie tin, I use small individual sized ones. I also roll the crust out a bit and get more out of it.

Add your ingredients, top it with another crust, pinch the edges together and freeze. You can cook them right away if you choose to. Remember to cut some small slits in the top for ventilation.

They will keep in the freezer for quite some time and they are sure to be a hit with the kids.

Happy turkey left overs!
