Original German Schnitzel
One of Germany’s favorite and easiest foods! And here is how you can do it right at your home!!!
OK, here is one of my family’s favorite! My husband and son just LOVE Schnitzel. And the good thing is, it is so easy and fast to make and it goes with almost everything, like any kind of paotatoes (mashed is my favorite) and any vegetable you wante.
Originally a Schnitzel is made from calf meat but pork, chicken breast or turkeybreast works just as well and is just as tasty!! But lets get to the point!
Serves 4 people.
Ingredients
- 4 pieces of meat
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups of bread crums, unseasoned
- salt, pepper (but you can use seasoning salt, garlic salt and / or chili if you want to try it a different way)
Method
First beat the meat till it is about 1/4 inch thick. Then take 2 deep big plates. In one put the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper and beat them. Put the bread crums on the other plate. Then season the meat to your liking and put it one by one first in the eggs then in the bread crums. Press the meat tightly into the crums and when your done kinda shake it off a little so you get a nice, even crust. Then start heating up a pan on medium heat and fry the Schnitzel in oil untill they are nice and golden brown!
And that’s it. Easy, fast and delicious!
Enjoy!!!
