Simple Cooking for the Holiday Season: Fried Chicken Adobo

published by acecampillo on Oct 26, 2008

One of the most popular Filipino foods that everyone loves to eat including tourists.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kilo chicken
  • 1 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 6-10 pieces of laurel leaf
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • 2 pieces garlic

Method:

*This recipe can be considered as the easiest to prepare.

  1. Place them all in a big bowl and mix.
  2. Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the concentration of the taste you want to have for your fried chicken adobo. But for me, I marinate it overnight. I just don’t know the reason for covering it, but I cover the bowl with plastic and put it in the refrigerator; it just tastes better.
  3. Deep Fry until cook.
  4. Serve and Eat!

(Note: This is not the original recipe, but it will still taste the same. I am just giving you an alternative for you to save money.)
