Cooking Without Mom: Party Pizza

A pizza great for a party. It’s healthy and very tasty.

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 500mL flour
  • 2mL baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 12mL baking powder
  • 45mL vegetable oil
  • 150-200mL milk

Sauce:

  • 125mL tomato sauce
  • 1mL salt
  • 1mL pepper
  • 1mL basil
  • 1mL oregano
  • 1mL thyme
  • 1mL garlic powder

Toppings:

  • 250mL mozzarella, grated
  • 50mL Parmesan cheese
  • 1 piece sausage

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease pizza pan.
  2. Stir together flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. Mix together vegetable oil, and egg and toss lightly into flour mixture using a fork.
  4. Add milk gradually, tossing with a fork until mixture leaves the sides of the bowl and forms a ball.
  5. Roll out dough on lightly floured counter. Roll into a circle about size of pizza pan.
  6. Place dough on pizza pan and stretch out to the edges. Pinch up edges slightly.
  7. Spread sauce on pizza dough (Mix together tomato sauce and seasonings).
  8. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, top with sausage and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bottom crust is golden brown and the cheese bubbles.
